This console table made of solid English elm is designed to sit in a modern hallway. It is my own design and was inspired from the curves of Japanese writing. The figuring of elm is very striking and no grain pattern is the same. The 'hidden' drawer is made from maple with a cedar of Lebanon base and elm front. The finish is Danish oil.
This coffee table was designed and built for my first client to sit in her living room. I was asked to create a piece that would be the inspiration for future pieces. The brief was simple - "create a coffee table for me that is unique and will bring an up to date feel for my living room".
The table top is made from English cherry veneer with sycamore lipping and rosewood stringing. The legs are made from solid spalted sycamore with rosewood edging. The finish is shellac polish and beeswax.
This dining chair was inspired by the international designer and maker David Savage and made as a one off prototype for a client who wanted classic dining chairs to go with the walnut dining table.
The chair is made from solid English walnut with a leather seat and finished in pure Danish oil.
